This course is designed to help you develop the necessary skills for biblical interpretation. You will know the role of the Holy Spirit and that of the Interpreter in the process of interpretation, and the availability and relevance of various Bible Helps. Even though there are various schools of biblical interpretation; the liberal approach (i.e. mystical, naturalistic, etc), we shall use in this course the more conservative approach, the literal interpretation method, (the grammatical-historical approach). This is because it explores the grammar and context of passages as well as the cultural and historical settings of the author and original hearers.
This course will enable students to approach bible study the correct way, acquire skills in using Bible Helps as an aid to studying the Bible,
acquire knowledge of Bible Study Methods and study the Bible using any of the study methods acquired for greater.
